Venue Spotlight: Grace Center – Downtown Milwaukee

The downtown area of Milwaukee can be a blessing and a curse. It’s a natural epicenter of culture and history. It also can be an area of deep congestion and void of accessible parking. The Grace Center downtown, connected to the historic Grace Lutheran Church, is a location that allows the bride and groom to alleviate those problems by combining the old world beauty of the church and contemporary reception hall.

The 150+ year old church and modern reception hall are both juxtaposed and complimented by each other.  The Grace Center has a reception hall on the second level that has standing room for 350 guests or 250 guests for a seated meal.  There is also an entryway for pre-dinner meeting that can hold up to 175. If you have a larger party to host that needs to utilize wide spaces within a single area, the Grace Center would be a very viable option .

The Upper Level Reception Hall

The reception hall may pose as a threat for those thinking about Grandma and Grandpa. Don’t worry! For older, and less mobile guests coming to dinner, there is a large elevator located in the main entry way. Grace Center has a 150-inch screen along for videos or power points of the couples photos. The Grace Center is a popular venue for members of Grace Lutheran Church which sports +1000 members, so if you are interested in utilizing it, plan for contacting them early on in your wedding planning.
